Server Rules

By playing on Aetherra, you agree to follow these rules.

These rules govern player behavior (out-of-character).
Violations may result in warnings, strikes, or bans.

⚖️ 1. Respect & Conduct

  • Treat all players with respect
  • Harassment, bullying, or discrimination will not be tolerated
  • No hate speech or targeted attacks
  • Keep interactions civil, even during disagreements
  • Political speech or jokes are not permitted

🚫 2. No Drama

  • Personal conflicts must remain outside the server
  • Do not bring outside issues into the community
  • Roleplay conflict is allowed – real conflict is not
  • Please do not use mental or emotional turmoil as an excuse for disruptive behavior

🔒 3. Zero-Tolerance Offenses

The following may result in immediate removal:

  • Hacking, cheating, or using unauthorized clients (ex: x-raying)
  • Exploiting bugs, glitches, or duplication methods
  • Intentional griefing or destruction of builds
  • Real-world harassment or threats

📦 4. Theft & Property (IMPORTANT)

To prevent confusion:

  • Taking items from another player’s build, storage, or claimed area is considered theft and a server rule violation
  • This includes:
    • Chests
    • Bases
    • Farms
    • Shops

Roleplay Theft

  • Theft as part of roleplay must be:
    • agreed upon by all parties
    • or properly structured and approved by a Royal witness

👉 If it is not agreed upon, it is treated as rule-breaking, not roleplay

💬 5. Chat & Communication

  • No spam, excessive caps, or disruptive behavior
  • Keep content appropriate (no NSFW content)
  • Avoid highly sensitive or inflammatory topics
  • Follow Discord rules as well as in-game rules

⚙️ 6. Fair Gameplay

  • Do not abuse mechanics in unintended ways
  • Do not use automation that harms server performance
  • Play within the intended spirit of the server

🛡️ 7. Staff Authority

  • Follow instructions from the Royal Council (Server Owners) and Royals (Moderators)
  • Do not argue publicly over rulings
  • Use proper channels (such as #open-court in Discord) for disputes
  • The Offices of the Royals in Discord are off-limits unless invited or a request to enter is accepted.

⚠️ 8. Enforcement

Violations are handled case-by-case:

  • Warning
  • Strike (3)
  • Temporary removal
  • Permanent ban

Severe violations may skip steps.

🧠 9. Use Common Sense

Not every situation is listed.

If something is clearly harmful, unfair, or disruptive: it likely breaks the rules.
